Your earnings are not based on how long the app is open. They are based on how much your connection is actually used — and that depends on real demand for AI requests in your region.
Where your earnings come from
Two things are rewarded, and they add up:
Referral bonuses are added on top of both.
Requests that are not completed are not rewarded. Your device can be online without requests arriving — that is normal, and it is explained below.
Why the amount changes
Requests arrive when there is demand
Bixberry carries one kind of request: AI assistants retrieving current information from the live web. Those requests arrive when an assistant needs an answer from a connection in your region — so the volume changes by time of day, by country, and by what people are asking.
Three hours online during a quiet period will show less than three hours during a busy one. Nothing is wrong with your account when this happens.
Your region matters
Rates differ by tier, and your tier is set by the country you registered in. Demand for connections is not the same everywhere.
Connection quality affects your online time rate
Online time is not counted as one flat rate. Time on a stable, responsive connection is rewarded more than time on an unstable one. You can see the split in your dashboard under online time.
Data used is not what you are rewarded for
More data does not mean more earnings. You are rewarded for requests solved and time available — not for volume of data. A request can be answered using very little.
Seeing a large data figure next to a small balance does not mean something has gone wrong. The two are not linked.
What you can influence
You cannot create demand, but you can make sure you are available when it arrives:
If you joined recently
The booster applies to requests only — the online time rate is not doubled.
Your first payout threshold is also lower: $10, then $20 for every payout after that.
When something is actually wrong
Low earnings and stopped earnings are different problems. If your balance has not moved at all, check whether your device shows as online in the app, then see Why are my earnings paused?
If your device shows as online, you have solved requests, and nothing has been added to your balance for more than 24 hours, submit a ticket and include the email associated with your Google or Apple account.
