When earning pauses, the app tells you why. Tap the information icon next to the status and match the message to the section below.
The seven messages
Each one names a specific cause. Several include a button that takes you straight to the fix.
Location access needed to earn
Your earning rate is based on the country your connection serves, so the app needs location access to work at all.
“While using the app” is not enough. Open Settings from the message and select Always, otherwise earning pauses again as soon as you leave the app.
Too many devices on this network
There is a second rule alongside that limit, and it is the one that causes this message: only one device can earn per network. Two phones on the same home Wi-Fi will not both earn — the second one pauses.
The limit is per network, not per home. Every device sharing a router shares one IP address, so the network sees them as one connection regardless of how many you have added.
To earn on more than one device at once, put each on a separate network:
Unsupported network
Some connections cannot carry requests even when browsing works normally:
Switching to mobile data or a home Wi-Fi network usually resolves it.
Charging required and battery saving
If you see Charging required, the app is currently allowed to run only while plugged in. Tap Allow battery usage to earn on battery as well.
Separately, Android can close background apps to save power. In your system settings, find Bixberry and set battery usage to unrestricted. The wording varies by manufacturer.
If online time shows 0 minutes after the app has clearly been running, this is usually the cause — battery saving closing it in the background, or location set to something other than Always.
No message, but nothing is arriving
If the app shows no pause reason and your device is connected, nothing is wrong. Requests arrive when AI assistants need an answer from a connection in your region, so quiet periods happen and a request counter that stops climbing is not a fault.
