Is Bixberry safe?

Modified on Tue, 2 Jun at 7:34 AM

Yes. Bixberry is designed so that contributing your device’s idle resources is safe, private, and unobtrusive. Here’s exactly what we do with your device — and, just as importantly, what we don’t.

How it works in simple terms

AI assistants need to fetch information from the internet in real time. By routing these requests through devices like yours, we cut latency from seconds to milliseconds — making AI responses feel instant.

Your device only steps in during idle moments. Bixberry isn’t doing anything on your computer or phone beyond helping pass along legitimate AI requests, and it’s built with safeguards so the network can’t be used for anything else.

What we don’t do

We don’t store personal data on your device
We don’t access your files or browsing history
We don’t slow down your internet or device performance
We don’t use your device for anything other than AI acceleration — no AI training, no other workloads

What this means for you

Your own browsing, streaming, gaming, and downloads always take priority
Your personal files and content are never touched
Contribution is limited to AI acceleration traffic only
